Privacy Policy

ScannerNav AI helps collision and ADAS technicians navigate scan-tool menus to locate calibration, initialization, reset, utility, and special-function routines. ScannerNav AI is not an OEM procedure replacement, target-placement guide, repair manual, or safety-specification source.

Information the app may collect

The app may process the information you enter or upload while using ScannerNav AI, including vehicle year, make, model, trim, VIN if entered or scanned, scanner brand/model, calibration goal, chat messages, scanner-screen photos, VIN photos, voice input transcripts if voice features are used, successful path confirmations, wrong-path reports, and technical logs needed to run and troubleshoot the service.

How the information is used

Tru-Point and OEM target placement

ScannerNav AI is focused on scanner navigation. Tru-Point handles target placement following OEM requirements. If a question involves target placement, measurements, setup specifications, ride height, or OEM procedure requirements, the app should direct the technician back to Tru-Point and OEM service information, then return to the scanner workflow.

Photos, VINs, and vehicle information

Scanner-screen photos and VIN scans may contain vehicle-identifying information. Only upload photos that are needed for the scanner-navigation task. Do not upload unrelated personal information, customer documents, payment information, medical information, or private shop records.

AI and service providers

ScannerNav AI uses hosting, storage, serverless function, AI, and web-search service providers to operate the app. These providers may process submitted text, images, VIN information, technical logs, and related data only as needed to provide, secure, debug, and improve the ScannerNav AI service.

Saved scanner paths

The app may store confirmed successful scanner paths and wrong-path reports so future technicians can receive better default guidance. Wrong-path reports should require enough supporting detail, such as scanner-screen photos, to help prevent inaccurate or bad-faith submissions from degrading the system.

Local storage

The app may use browser or device storage to remember app state, intro-video preferences, saved paths, and recent session details. Clearing browser/app data may remove locally stored settings.

Sharing

ScannerNav AI does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that help operate the app, comply with legal obligations, protect the service, investigate abuse, or respond to valid support and privacy requests.

Retention

Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed to operate ScannerNav AI, improve scanner-path accuracy, troubleshoot issues, meet legal obligations, or protect the service. Some provider logs and backups may follow the retention schedules of the hosting, storage, and AI service providers used to operate the app.

Tracking and advertising

ScannerNav AI is not designed to track users across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising. The app does not need cross-app advertising tracking to perform scanner navigation.

Children

ScannerNav AI is intended for professional collision and ADAS technicians. It is not intended for children under 13.

Your choices

You can avoid entering optional information, avoid uploading photos unless needed, clear local browser/app storage, or request deletion of information associated with your use of the service where deletion is technically and legally available.

Security

Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect information processed by ScannerNav AI. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security, so users should avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information.

Changes

This policy may be updated as ScannerNav AI changes. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect.
